So I have actually sold books! That was the plan all along, but to actually have a book for sale, and to have people actually buy it, is pretty surreal.  As excited as I was when book sales actually happened, I now want to know what people think about the book.  Actually, I want to know who it is that is buying the book- Deadheads, music lovers, random book readers- and are they getting out of the book what I hoped they would.
A weird nervousness hangs out in my stomach  these days over this.

New E-Book about Dead/Phish scene

So I recenty published an e-book on a novel- and started this blog to a) promote it, b) interact with anyone who reads it, c) discuss the book, d) blog about anything else that may arise because of this blatant self-promotion.  Below is the Publisher's Note as found on along with the link:

THE HALLUCINOGENIC BIBLE: The Ultimate Road Trip: three friends, four weeks, twenty-two states, twelve concerts, too many cops, too many drugs, and one cramped, smelly, trash filled Honda. It is the Summer of 1990 and three college aged music lovers are undertaking a pilgrimage across the United States along with thousands of similar thinking souls. Based on twenty plus years of following the Grateful Dead, Phish, and other jam bands, this fictionalized narrative captures the sights, sounds, and smells of the traveling circus that followed such bands around the country for decades. The three friends leave California with the simple intent to listen to music and party for four weeks but they soon encounter more, realizing that their road trip contains a significance greater than they originally thought. Talk of religion invades their daily conversations and before long, the three music fans are convinced that their travels, their clothes, their love of live music, even their drug taking, sets them on a path comparable to that of the major belief systems. "The Hallucinogenic Bible" is the ultimate Road Trip novel, filled with adventure, drama, hedonism, music, and spirituality. (The author will donate 10% of all author profits to a charitable or non-profit organization).

That pretty much says it all.  More posts to come, picture of the cover, etc etc.  if you happen to read the book, please let me know what you think about it.  Thanks!
